Dishwasher Job Description:
The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. This role ensures that the kitchen maintains a high level of cleanliness and adheres to health and safety regulations.
Dishwasher Job Responsibilities:
Dishwashing: Operate commercial dishwashing machines to clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen utensils. Hand-wash larger items such as pots and pans.

Maintenance of Dishwashing Area: Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized. Ensure that the dishwashing machines are cleaned regularly and in good working condition.
Waste Management: Properly dispose of food scraps, trash, and recyclable materials. Ensure garbage bins are emptied regularly.
Stock Management: Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in the correct locations. Inform the kitchen supervisor when cleaning supplies are low.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the efficient flow of dishes and kitchen equipment. Assist with kitchen tasks as needed.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and health regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards to the supervisor.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, such as cleaning kitchen floors and walls or assisting with food preparation.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Time Management: Ability to handle high-volume dishwashing during peak hours.
- Work Schedule: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
