Aircraft Cleaner Job Description:

An Aircraft Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of aircraft interiors and exteriors. This critical role ensures that the aircraft is kept in pristine condition, adhering to aviation industry standards and regulations.

Aircraft Cleaner Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleaning Aircraft Interiors: Thoroughly clean the cabin interiors, including seats, carpets, windows, lavatories, galleys, and overhead compartments. Remove trash and debris, and replenish supplies as needed.

Exterior Cleaning: Clean the aircraft’s exterior surfaces, such as the fuselage, wings, and landing gear. Remove dirt, stains, and any other contaminants to maintain the aircraft’s aerodynamics and visual appeal.

Safety Protocols: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around the aircraft, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others at all times.

Chemical Usage: Properly handle and use cleaning agents and chemicals, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines to avoid damage to the aircraft surfaces.

Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections after cleaning to ensure high-quality results and compliance with established standards.

Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any faulty or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.

Reporting: Document and report any damage or issues found during the cleaning process to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.

Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all aviation regulations and company policies while performing duties related to aircraft cleaning.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the cleaning team and ground crew to ensure efficient and timely aircraft turnaround.

Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet aircraft cleaning schedules and deadlines, especially during quick turnarounds between flights.

Aircraft Cleaner Job Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in aircraft cleaning or related field is an advantage, but not always required.
Knowledge of safe handling and usage of cleaning agents and chemicals.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy cleaning equipment when necessary.
Strong communication skills to report issues and communicate with team members effectively.
