Hotel Cleaner Job Description:
The Hotel Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the hotel premises. This role involves performing various cleaning and housekeeping tasks to ensure guests’ comfort and satisfaction during their stay. The Hotel Cleaner must adhere to established cleanliness and hygiene standards while demonstrating attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Hotel Cleaner Job Responsibilities:
Room Cleaning: Clean and sanitize guest rooms and suites according to the hotel’s standards. This includes making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities.
Bathroom Maintenance: Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, tiles, mirrors, and surfaces. Restock towels, toiletries, and other necessities.
Common Areas: Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and lounges. This involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, and ensuring a tidy appearance.
Laundry Services: Collect, sort, and process linens, towels, and other hotel laundry. Operate laundry equipment and follow proper washing and folding procedures.
Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a hygienic and responsible manner. Replace trash liners as needed.
Furniture and Fixtures: Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and decorative items throughout the hotel. Polish metal surfaces and glass as required.
Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces. Perform periodic deep cleaning and carpet maintenance.
Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs observed during cleaning duties to the appropriate department.
Lost and Found: Report and turn in any lost items found in guest rooms or public areas to the designated personnel.
Guest Interaction: Provide friendly and professional service to guests when interacting with them during cleaning activities. Respect guests’ privacy and maintain a positive demeanor.
Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning services is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques.
- Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently.
